About Griswold

Griswold Home Care began in 1982 at a dining room table in a suburb of Philadelphia. Our founder, Dr. Jean Griswold, was driven to act after she heard that an elderly woman in her community who had no support system had died from complications associated with malnutrition and dehydration. Jean was deeply saddened by what she felt was an easily preventable tragedy, and the first non-medical home care franchise in the United States was born.

Griswold Home Care now operates in almost 200 locations across 30 states, touching more than 100,000 families. The company was built upon the timeless values of compassion and care, and these ideals are still at the heart of all we do. We are dedicated to ensuring the success of our franchises through extensive training programs and unrivaled ongoing support.

The ideal Griswold Home Care franchise owner comes from a variety of professional backgrounds – no medical experience is required. A good cultural fit with a high degree of empathy is important; we pride ourselves on our adherence to the founding principles of compassion and care. You will need available financial resources; if needed, we are here to help guide you in finding the funds to realize your dream of business ownership.

Testimonials

"Griswold Home Care is a big believer in the idea that if you do the right thing, then success will come. I apply this philosophy to my business, and we have been growing significantly every year since we started."

- Christine Friedberg, Alexandria, VA

"I looked at 10 brands before I looked at Griswold, and the difference became apparent as soon as I got on the phone with Griswold. Other brands would tell me how great the margins were, but when I got on the phone with Griswold they told me how important the care was. It was an entirely different tone—they were the only ones who said anything about care. They remembered that the end product was care to seniors, and we appreciated that and decided to franchise with them because of their integrity." - Scott Savel, Scottsdale, AZ
