About La Salsa

La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill is one of the original companies that started the fresh Mexican food trend in a quick-service setting. The company prides itself on its fresh, high-quality ingredients, delicious recipes and quick, friendly service. La Salsa restaurants serve traditional Mexican food items such as tacos, taquitos, quesadillas and burritos, with a fresh, updated twist. One key feature that makes La Salsa stand out is its self-service salsa bar with a wide range of freshly made selections, which allows patrons to customize their menu items in unique ways. La Salsa restaurants can be found in business districts, malls and outside shopping centers. Some locations also provide catering services.

Why La Salsa?

La Salsa continues to enjoy a solid reputation for high quality and fresh Mexican food, served quickly and affordably in a family restaurant setting. Customers enjoy this upgraded and healthier take on fast food.

Franchisees can benefit from the substantial business experience La Salsa brings to the table. Its longstanding history has enabled the company to identify target demographics and optimal locations, and to develop effective opening and operational guidelines based on extensive data. Franchisees also participate in company-run national and regional advertising and promotional campaigns.

La Salsa provides franchisees with detailed and specific guidance as to sites, equipment, recipes, locations and décor. Franchisees receive initial training for opening and operating their location. They can also receive ongoing support, including consultation and site visits.

The company offers five franchising programs so potential franchisees can select the one that best meets their needs. These include:

  • Single Franchise Program: open one new traditional La Salsa Restaurant at new location approved by La Salsa
  • Three-Restaurant Purchase Program: operate three traditional restaurants at three franchised locations; receive discounted initial franchise fee for each
  • Area Development Program: operate minimum of five restaurants within assigned area in specified period of time
  • Purchase Program: buy currently operating company-owned restaurant and operate it under a modified franchise agreement
  • Express Restaurant Program: operate express restaurant within specific locations at lower initial franchising fee

Franchisees who wish to also provide catering sign an addendum to the regular franchising agreement to cover relevant services and activities.

Ideal Candidate

La Salsa requires franchisees to have $200,000 of liquid cash and a net worth of at least $500,000. The company also expects potential franchisees to have experience operating a restaurant or to have a partner with a minimum of 10 percent ownership who does. Franchisees should prepare to commit to an agreement of 10 years' duration.
