The business has a fully equipped microbiology laboratory, over 800 cultures for selection of opportunity specific culture mixes. There is a fully functional growth room able to produce 1,000 gallons of culture per month with room to expand. The business is located in a long term rental area on a month to month leasing. One of the barriers to competition is the need to select culture and nutrient mixes specific to each type of waste brine. this is a skill developed by the owner and not shared with our clients or vendors.
Market Outlook / Competition
This is a huge market. In the United States alone ESM has a market potential exceeding $100 million per year. ESM is currently the only business in the world able to apply this microbial technology to this waste water problem. In general the cost of treatment can be as low as 1/10 that of mechanical evaporation systems currently used to evaporate this brine. About the Sale
Transition Support
As part of a sale the owner of ESM will provide all of the training needed for a buyer or major investor to take over the operation. Once the transfer is completed and the current owner retires he will still be available to support the IP. After the sale/investment is completed the current owner will expect royalty fees on this proprietary trade secret knowledge.
