The STOP philosophy is straight-forward, realistic and appealing to most new business owners: "Start Simple, Grow Big."
The restoration industry allows you to start simple with water damage drying and mold clean-up jobs. From here, as you grow your confidence and organization (the goal is NOT to have you spend the rest of your life on a truck), you’ll add services and capabilities to bring your business to any level you want. You’ll be a one-“STOP” shop providing a menu of services to include mold, fire, biohazard and more; all things considered to be part of the restoration industry.
We've been guiding restoration companies for over 40 years, and we are here to help you. Together your team and our experience will cause you to prioritize and execute at the highest level. Our biggest and best franchisees call us the most for support. We love this. STOP’s creative mix of insurance-paid and non-insurance jobs is a proven business model that places your base in a recession-resistant industry, plus the opportunity to render other needed services in residential and commercial arenas. What’s more, no prior restoration experience is needed to excel with STOP.
Our company roots go back almost 50 years as a business consulting company (and franchise since 1996). We still work with our owners today in the same manner – as coaches and business consultants. We build restoration executives. Our training and support is unparalleled.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
The restoration industry is extremely recession-resistant. Accidents can and do happen and, when they do, people turn to STOP for their home and business restoration needs. Our franchisees help individuals with everything from fire and smoke damage restoration to water and mold damage restoration and more. And, at STOP, we help our franchisees get the job done with unparalleled support with everything from day-to-day technical operations to management and marketing – with three conventions each year… unmatched by any brand. This is what real support looks like.
This is a “white collar, very scalable executive model” that just happens to be in a blue collar industry. What we look for are owners who are:
1) An enterprise builder – someone who want to build something big and be ‘the CEO of a small company’. Not someone who wants to be the technician and buy themselves a job.
2) An owner who will focus on the two primary drivers – MARKETING and MANAGEMENT. These are the primary roles that true enterprise builders will embrace and be effective in doing.
3) Good communicator and truly loves helping people.
Training And Support
All new STOP franchisees are provided with six days of Initial Training. During this intensive program, you will receive everything you need to build your confidence and equip you with the knowledge to begin your own business.
Initial Training topics include:
After the Initial Training, our franchisees attend regional, industry-certified training courses, as well as an online software and estimating course. Our regional training format allows you to minimize your traveling time and provides a better environment for absorbing information. Classroom and hands-on training are both included in your courses.
