About Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea
Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea cafes have unique globally inspired coffees, teas, and food, all with a real ingredient focus. Our Cold Brew coffee is brewed in-house for 18 hours. We use real strawberries in our Strawberry Bliss. Our iced tea is brewed with whole leaf teas. Pure Japanese Matcha is used in our matcha drinks. Our whipped cream is made in-house daily. We carefully curate our pastries, desserts, and made-to-order hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches offerings. We have many globally inspired drinks only available at Sweetwaters like our Thai Iced Tea, French Vietnamese Au Lait, and Ginger Lemon & Ginger Raspberry Teas. Of course, we handcraft all classic espresso-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas. Our cafes are known for their deep community ties. We display local art, host local in-café events like “coffee with a coach” and local school/organization fundraisers and participate in outside events like local festivals and farmers’ markets. We forge lasting and meaningful relationships within our communities. This makes Sweetwaters the local neighborhood gathering place to connect, relax, play, study, work, and enjoy.

Why Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea?
Lisa and Wei Bee created Sweetwaters Coffee and Tea cafes 28 years ago in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We love what we do and have developed processes and systems for successful café ownership that are used systemwide and at our own corporate cafes. We focus on our “Love Your Day™” attitude and goal for all our guests. Our Home Office team will support you from the beginning. We assist with site selection and approval, design and construction, training, and pre-opening, and on-site opening support. We will continue to support you after you open by answering any operational and marketing questions, providing you with marketing programs and new products, and strengthening buying power as we grow. Our focus is to support the sales and growth of every Sweetwaters!
As a franchisee, you will be part of the exciting development at Sweetwaters as we open new cafes across the county and help guests Love Their Day. As part of an emerging brand, you can also utilize the experience of fellow franchisees as well as the Home Office team. We know it’s important to continue to innovate and embrace digital business by staying on top of trends and guests needs to evolve with new products, processes, and systems. And because we also own corporate cafes, we test it all out at our cafes before we introduce it to yours!

Our franchisees have retail entrepreneurial intelligence and like being involved in the day-to-day operations of the café tweaking things with their teams as needed. As they grow their area by adding more cafes, they stay involved at a higher level by adding management staff to help expand and develop their area over time.
