Broker Biography
Introduction
Jeremy is an Army veteran with nearly 30 year’s experience in supply chain, manufacturing, retail, and systems management. Before becoming a Business Broker, he had been involved in over 12 successful transactions both on the buy and sell side. Additionally, he personally started 2 companies, and was involved as a founder or investor in 2 others. All of these companies are still in business, and are all in different industries (software, wholesale distribution, transportation, and consulting).
Jeremy started his career as a Transportation officer in the US Army. There he was on the front end of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) development as well as a crash course in leadership. Then his career took him to Solo Cup Company and eventually Best Buy. While at Best Buy he was fortunate to be the first Director of Operations for Best Buy’s startup Private Label Company, building products for brands like Geek Squad and Insignia to name a few.
Jeremy’s last stop before getting the entrepreneurial bug, was Archway Marketing Services, a mid-market 3rd Party Logistics company. While at Archway Jeremy managed 8 distribution centers and over 150 customers. The company sold twice during his tenure, and this is where his experience in buying and selling businesses began. He evaluated and was part of the due diligence team for 2 acquisitions, and eventually operated the largest of the acquisitions for over 5 years.
Upon leaving Archway, Jeremy entered a search for his own company. This led him to acquire 2 companies as part of a partnership, then eventually he acquired a company as a sole owner. He also started 3 companies, including a software company, a transportation brokerage, and a boutique distribution business, all of which are still in business today.
