Stretch-n-Grow gets young kids moving at a time when sedentary activities and obesity rates are big concerns. The company is worldwide, with U.S. locations from California to Virginia. International locations are in countries such as Hong Kong, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Its mission is to “teach as many children as possible the habits that allow them to enjoy good health and combat the negative impact of obesity and disease brought on by a sedentary, inactive lifestyle and poor nutrition.”
Through classes, children ages 18 months to 12 years develop strength building, cardio, physical education, community skills, heart health and a fitness mindset. These classes are taught in a variety of settings such as child care centers and schools. Depending on the center or school, participants can usually take part in one or two sessions a week for either 30 minutes or one hour. A certified youth fitness specialist teaches each class. Sometimes, this person is also the owner of the local affiliate business. Other times, the person is someone the local owner or manager has hired.

Why Stretch-N-Grow Kids Fitness?
If you love children and fitness, becoming a Stretch-n-Grow affiliate may be the right choice for you. First, the total investment range is barely less than $30,000. A fee of $28,600 pays for training camp, territory reservations, materials and support. For an additional outlay of $500 to $1,000, you pay for professional liability insurance, equipment, music, and office materials. Not included in this range are computers and software programs.
Children love the programs, and affiliates should be able to succeed with the extensive sales and marketing training offered. Once you become an affiliate, your territory is exclusively yours. Fifty child care centers or schools in a ZIP code define each territory, and major metropolitan areas can handle multiple Stretch-n-Grow affiliates.
Another ideal feature is you can tailor the size and scope to meet your needs. For example, if you have a lot of time to focus on the business, you can expand it relatively quickly. If your time is more limited, you can take a slow-and-steady approach. Either way, marketing calls, demo classes, enrollment sessions, and, when applicable, teaching, will likely constitute much of your time running the business.
Ideal Candidate
Stretch-n-Grow explains that its affiliates generally fall into two groups. One group of owners teaches classes themselves, while the other group hires others to manage and coach. The ideal candidate for the first group must be enthusiastic about fitness and about combating childhood obesity. This person must also love children. The ideal candidate for the second group must be superbly organized and have superior management skills. The fee for training includes detailed instruction on marketing, running classes and managing coaches.
